Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Revelo handles personal data when you visit this website, contact us or use the Revelo app.

1. Who we are

Revelo is operated by Richard Croasdale. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Revelo is the controller for the personal data described in this policy unless stated otherwise.

2. The Revelo app and your photographs

Revelo processes your photographs entirely on your Mac. Your photographs are not uploaded to Revelo servers, and restoring them does not require an account or any cloud service.

The app stores its working files, restored images and preferences on your Mac so that it can provide its features. You control which photographs you add to the app and which files you export from it.

3. Website and support data

If you email us, we receive the contact details and message content you choose to provide. We use these to answer your enquiry, provide support and keep reasonable records of our correspondence.

Our website host may process basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and server logs, in order to deliver and secure the site. We do not use advertising trackers or website analytics on this site.

4. Mac App Store purchases

Revelo will be sold through the Mac App Store. Apple processes payment and purchase information under its own privacy policy. Revelo does not receive your payment card details.

5. How we use personal data

  • To reply to support questions and feedback.
  • To tell you when Revelo is released, if you have asked us to.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website and app.
  • To meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations.

6. Our legal bases

Where UK GDPR applies, we use personal data to respond to requests and provide support on the basis of legitimate interests or, where relevant, to take steps connected with a contract. We may also process data to meet legal obligations.

7. Retention and sharing

We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, record-keeping and legal purposes. If you ask to be told when Revelo is released, we keep your address until we have told you, and then delete it. We do not sell personal data. We use service providers such as website hosting and email providers to operate Revelo; they process data only as needed to provide those services.

8. Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to a data-protection authority. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@revelophoto.com.
