Photo restoration for Mac

Old photographs,
honestly restored.

Revelo brings back the colour, clarity and detail that time has taken from your photographs — entirely on your Mac, and without turning the people in them into strangers.

See for yourself

Not a new photo.
Your photo, revealed.

Revelo corrects the fading, damage and softness that hide the moment you cared about, while keeping faces, texture and character recognisably real. Drag the handle and judge it yourself.

Genuine before and after. One photograph, before and after Revelo, shown at the same size. Nothing else has been edited, and the original has not been darkened to widen the gap.

Simple by intention

Drop in a photo.
Let Revelo take it from there.

01

Add your photographs

Drag in one treasured print, or a whole shoebox of scans.

02

Revelo reads each one

It assesses faces, damage, colour and framing, then builds a restoration for that photograph rather than reaching for a preset.

03

Make them yours again

Review the result, adjust the colour or clean up dust if you want to, then export at full quality.

Genuine before and after. A genuine scan and its restoration, at the same size.

Thoughtful restoration

It knows the difference between damage and detail.

Old photographs need more than a sharpen filter. Revelo treats faces, background, scratches and colour as separate parts of the same photograph, then brings them back together so the result still looks like a photograph.

  • Revives faded colour and contrast
  • Recovers clarity without a plastic look
  • Reduces dust, scratches and scan marks
  • Straightens and reframes photographs of prints
  • Restores a whole album in one go
Why restorations look fake

Your memories are not our data

Private means
on your Mac.

Revelo has no cloud workflow at all. Your photographs are processed on your own machine, your library stays under your control, and there is no account to create.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Does Revelo upload my photos?

No. Revelo does its work on your Mac. Your photographs are never sent anywhere, there is no cloud library, and there is no account to create.

Will it invent detail that was not there?

That is the thing Revelo is built to avoid. It recovers what the photograph still holds and reconciles restored faces against the original before they go back into the frame, so people keep looking like themselves. Where a face is too far gone to restore honestly, Revelo leaves it alone rather than guessing.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes. The download is free and every restoration feature works, with a watermark on what you export. One £9.99 in-app purchase removes it. No subscription, and nothing expires.

What kinds of photographs can it restore?

Faded colour prints, old scans with dust and scratches, photographs taken on a phone of a print on the kitchen table, and whole albums at once. Revelo looks at each photograph and works out what that one needs.

What Mac do I need?

Revelo is built for Apple Silicon · macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
